Americano Con Crema

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Espresso

  • 1/2 cup Filtered Hot Water (120mL)

  • 1 oz. Orange Syrup

  • 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream

  • 1 oz. 2% Milk

  • 1 oz. Granulated Cane Sugar

  • Optional: Standard Can of Whipped Cream

Tools/Glassware:

  • Espresso Pot/Espresso Machine

  • Espresso Measuring Glass

  • Milk Frother

  • Milk Pitcher

  • Coffee Mug

  • Spoon

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Espresso with the Moka Pot/Espresso Machine.

  2. With the Measuring Glass, measure and pour the Espresso into the Coffee Mug.

  3. With the Measuring Glass, measure and pour the Orange Syrup into the Coffee Mug.

  4. Stir to blend the flavors.

  5. With the Milk Pitcher, microwave the Filtered Hot Water for 1 minute.

  6. Add the hot water into the Coffee Mug.

  7. For the cold foam: Combine 1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream, 1 oz. 2% Milk, and 1 oz. Granulated Cane Sugar in the Milk Pitcher.

  8. Using the Milk Frother, whisk the cold foam mixture for 1-2 minutes until thick and frothy.

  9. Spoon the cold foam into the coffee mug.

  10. As an alternative, you can use a standard can of whipped cream instead of making cold foam.
